Fertility, IVF, Pregnancy and the Covid19 Vaccination

Jul 28, 2021

If you are trying to conceive, going through IVF treatments or are currently pregnant, you might be finding it difficult to decide whether to get the Covid 19 vaccine or not and concerned about effects that it may have on your fertility or unborn baby. Advice seems to change from country to country and clinic to clinic, with many gynecologists saying that we simply don't have enough information and suggesting that you do what feels right to you.

Knowledge is power and whichever decision you make, it's comforting to feel that you've made it based on the best and latest information available at the time and that you feel at peace with your decision.

So, I would like to offer you some useful links that I found, with some explanations of how it all works.

I hope that this will help you make your own decisions about what feels right for you.

Here is what I have found

1) Dr Brenda Kelly, Consultant Obstetrician at OUH, explains what women and people who are trying to get pregnant, are pregnant, or currently breastfeeding should expect when considering the COVID-19 vaccine.
